Borromeo has been an active member in the Toronto music scene lending her keys and vocals to Brown and Myles, The Kate Rogers Band, Slakah the Beatchild, Sistahs with Voices and God Made Me Funky, criss-crossing Canada multiple times on the jazz and folk festival circuits. In the studio she has lent her talents to the genre-blending Canadiana of the Outlanders, Dragon Fli Empire’s laid back hip hop and even backed up beloved children’s entertainer Raffi.
Her release Through The Dark caught the ears of R&B fans across western Canada, hitting the top 5 on the hip hop, jazz and R&B charts on various campuses and community radio stations. Her latest release Kaleidoscope finds Borromeo pulling together the threads of soul, R&B and pop that have run throughout her career. Joanna Borromeo is a fresh voice in the Canadian Soul Scene and is ready to be heard.
